Wynne Dromey
My name is Wynne Dromey, I am currently a sophomore studying Studio Art and Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I run my own art business called Colors of the Wynned (@colors.of.the.wynned)(colorsofthewynned.com). Colors of the Wynned is a woman and minority-owned business. My goal has been to bridge the gap between the art world and everyday life by creating artwork that freezes anyone’s cherished memory in time. I also sell other art products such as fine art prints, painted vinyl records, stickers, and cards.
Through social media and in galleries, I display my own art to inspire others to appreciate and embrace their individuality. I believe that everyone’s special identities deserve to be expressed, and my original artwork is one vehicle that works to highlight this uniqueness. To practice mindfulness, I created a visual map of my internal thoughts that emerged from my external surroundings. This piece [Things in My Bedroom] shows the union of various eclectic elements within one, short period of time. It also is the physical creation of the activity that helps me deal with anxiety and overwhelming thoughts and emotions. Though every individual element and thought has a distinct way at which it is rendered, the overall piece exists together on one page. This piece has helped me understand how visual discordance can be manipulated to coexist and illustrate a singular image.
