So I walk and I walk until my legs are browned and my feet are calloused, until asphalt has turned to sand, and I wonder if the world has burned beneath me and I have only noticed now. I wonder where I have gone and if my skin has peeled away to the bone, but I realize I have just walked and ended up rolling in dirt, smelling a bird, hugging a tree, putting my bare feet on an ant hill.
